Halter USX India Index
Halter Financial Group is pursuing an active business strategy in the Republic of India both with our core reverse merger and APO business, as well as with the launch of a new investment product. In 2005, HFG launched the Halter USX India Index. The Index is listed under the symbol (AMEX: HXI), and with certain data vendors "^HXI", and employs a modified market capitalization weighted methodology. The American Stock Exchange (AMEX) is our exclusive partner for the calculation and distribution of the Halter USX India Index through the Network of the Consolidated Tape Association. The index is comprised of companies whose common stock is publicly traded in the United States and the majority of whose business is conducted within the Republic of India. The Halter USX India Index was created by the Halter Financial Group in response to the unique economic opportunities taking place in the Republic of India, as well as the current dynamics in the United States capital markets. While there is strong demand for India equity, U.S. investors still seek and prefer the transparency offered with a U.S. listing. So the goal of this product is to combine one of the best investment opportunities in the world with the relative safety of a U.S. listing. The listing of Indian companies in the U.S. is a growing trend and this index is intended to provide a valuable tracking and information tool for the investment community. For a company to be included in the Halter USX India Index it must have an average market capitalization of more than $50 million for the preceding 40 days, trade on the NYSE, Nasdaq or AMEX and must be approved by our Selection Committee.
